Says on his Wikipedia page that he was in the WWF between 1989-1991, and 1991 was around about when I started watching (I say 'watching', but we didn't have Sky, so I only saw whatever events friends/family taped and lent to me).
He was basically a jobber during that period, and by no means one of the Stars (e.g. Hulk Hogan, The Ultimate Warrior, Randy Savage, Sgt Slaughter).
In the 21st century, 69 is actually quite a young age to be dying. Apparently it'll be the norm for people to be living until they're 100 in the not-too-distant future. Like, our generation.
But for a wrestler, it's quite a good innings.
