Dude, I'm going to sleep for TEN HOURS tonight. This has been building ever since BBC3 went off the air. There's nothing on. I used to just watch whatever shit was on BBC3 because Family Guy reruns are better than the total garbage on the rest of the channels. But with that gone...I'm just turning the tv (actually my phone) off. Watching Youtube videos. Then drifting off to Dreamland well before midnight. Tonight: 9.00. Then I wake up at 7.15. It will be sweet. Wake up fully rested. I force myself not to check the time when I wake up. Don't check the time, just stay in bed until the alarm goes off. Then I listen to my breathing. It's the heavy breathing that one gets when one sleeps but I'm sort of awake because I'm clearly hearing it and thinking about it. It's a delicious semi-sleep state. One foot in harsh reality, the other in blissful unconsciousness. And as for naps: I have it down to 30 minutes. I used to sleep for an hour or two during the day. But now, I'll be asleep at 12.30 and awake at 1.00. Fully rested. Couldn't even sleep more if I wanted to. Then I think, "Man, it's only 1.00. I have so much time to do all my shit." Then I do all my shit. Today wasn't a good day for naps, though. I actually didn't have work until 2.00 but I didn't realise that until I was on my way to work. I got it in an email detailing what the job is but I didn't read the email carefully. So I got there at 9.30. Then just had to wait. Then the case lasted until 5.15. Usually, they end around 4.00. So the court was locked and everyone went home. Took a while to find somebody to unlock the door and let me out. Took a while to come home. I was only like a 30 minutes train journey away but the train only arrives at that station every 15 minutes or so. And it was cold. Finally got home. Was dark out. Didn't take a nap. I wasted all of that time when I didn't have to actually be there until 2.00. Walked around that little village looking for stuff to do. There's a little shopping mall but only pound shops and shit like this. So now, I begin my epic 10 hour sleep. Maybe take a crap in the morning. I like to wake up early enough to be able to take a leisurely crap, if required. |
