I wish he would have talked more about his Indiana boyhood. I don't care so much about intensity and working out and whatnot. He's right about work not being important and making choices, though.
Gives good relationship advice too. You want a girlfriend? Write it down. I say it in jest but he was a real sage. Most insightful professional wrestler, at least. Name me somebody more insightful? Honky Tonk Man isn't even close. Warrior was a deep thinker with a lot of good ideas.
Warrior did his own thing. He was his own man. He didn't kowtow to Vince McMahon like so many others. "You don't want to pay me as much as Hogan? No problem. I'll stay home." And he did. He wasn't motivated by money but he didn't like being taken advantage of.
In other news, Mystery Science Theater 3000 is back after nearly 20 years. All new cast. Trying to appeal to the young people. That's fine. I can appreciate that.
You can watch it on Netflix or there's a link somewhere in the forum on club-mst3k.com for pirated versions. I watched about 20 minutes of the first episode. It's bad. I can't do it.
If you weren't familiar with the show, it might be fine. But the voices of the robots are all wrong and I don't like the new characters.
It's my favourite show of all time but I haven't even seen all of the original series. I stopped watching shortly after it moved to the Sci Fi Channel. And even the earlier seasons...there's a lot that I think I haven't seen.
It was the funniest shit ever but I can't bring myself to watch it. Not even the old episodes. There's just something about it. They're 90 minutes long so that's one thing. You have to pay attention. I don't think that I have the attention span any more.
I suppose that I did watch the Village of the Giants episodes recently, though. So I must still have it in me.
