It was still a bit greasy, some pieces a bit wet when I bagged it. But I thought, "Well, they'll dry and I'm going to eat this before it starts getting moldy anyway."
But when I went back to it a few hours later, it was still a bit wet and greasy and it just didn't taste good. Bad texture. Wasn't crisps like you expect it to be. I don't want to eat soggy Chex Mix.
It's a simple problem. I should have cooked it longer. But I was afraid of burning it. Loads of comments on the internet about people burning their Chex Mix.
Not something that I'm going to try again any time soon. Even the dry and crisp bits weren't particularly good.
Fortunately, the main wastage in this was the butter and the Shreddies. I can still eat the remaining pretzels, crackers, and nuts. Although, I doubt that I'll eat the nuts because they're unsalted but I only bought a small bag anyway so they're almost gone.
Good thing that I threw them out, though. It seemed the thing that I could get sick on. Moldy Chex Mix.
