Hi have tried this and it is ok, you get service sheets and a sign foc, but as you say it really is a marketing thing, having said that i have used forte products for many years now and have had no problems. But as we all know the customer wants every thing on the cheap and these are a pricey product if you charge as the rep tells you. I cant remember if they hold you to a contract period now i think not, so my advice would be give it a go, if it not working stop.
