Kim Doerr
Just replaced the batteries in my fluke 98. Used four C cells, each 4000 mAh 1.2v.
I have always had short use out of the old batteries right from new.
I used to always use a fluke 12v adapter until it started behaving like it had a bad connection on the jack plug, I took it to a mate who repairs TVs and the like and he said it was my duff batteries that were confusing the charging system. the only thing i had to do was wire the charging contact to the pos terminal(just have to make sure i don't try charging standard batts in it or it will most likely burn something out).
This tool is now better than it has ever been, i had it running constant and it did over four hours.
This is now a good tool that is very portable.
Regards Kim.
