Last week I wanted a n/s door mirror glass for a 04 Golf - £130 odd pounds plus vat. This week a rear silencer and center pipe for a 98 subaru forester - £355 inc vat at trade price. My garage alarm service cost almost double last years price and Eon just notified me my electric was increasing about 27%. Boc gas bottle rent up again. I recon I should be charging almost twice what I was two years ago, but I seem to be spending more and more time "quoting for work that I don't get" whereas two years ago I was always just told to get on with a job without quoting.

Don't know what the answer is.
