May be bad design issues but I believe there is another element. Bad road surfaces. My wife lost control of her VW Passat because of a broken n/s wishbone. This stretch of country road is covered in pot-holes and as a result I sued the council and got damages. I believe our roads are a disgrace and costing motorists dear - apart from putting lives at risk.
