There was an interesting piece on Radio 4 last week about the number of British souls that sank with the Titanic compared to other nationalities. Basically, it was said that the Brits formed queues for the lifeboats whereas other nationalities just jumped aboard them. It is the same with rules and regulations, the British tend to follow them slavishly, while other nations do what is best for themselves. Remember George Bush last year when talking about the 'Special Relationship'.He said: We'll put what's best for America first.
I'm sure we'll defer to everyone else as usual.
