£160 off any business that "ommits smoke" into the atmosphere!! gggrrrrrwe have run our waste oil burner for years,its well worth the £160. the council will require you to keep a log book.
in it you just note each date you light it and the amount of "visible" smoke been given out. they will send a guy around in a nice suit once a year (they tell you when he is coming) to inspect the heater,they havent a clue what they are looking at so just give it a good clean and it passes!
