I fear that some companies are experimenting with the theory that they can up-price out of recession.
The comment about checking the dealer Vs factors price is also relevant, the other day I had to replace a turbo on an Iveco truck factors price £515 if I sqeezed them £495 but might have to contribute to carriage, so I rang dealer quoted £772, I asked was it on a price matching deal ( because they don't charge delivery ) and was told yes that will be £ 269. It came brand new all good & they didn't even want the old unit !!!
