I rejoined the RMI last year after not being a member for some 15 years or so. I would suggest that as an organisation they have refocused and become more relavent and therefore useful to the motor trade. I went to my local roadshow last autumn, which I found to be very informative .

We also took advantage of their in house training, which last year was a good presentation on hybrid vehicles, general awareness & proceedures.

I have used their legal phone help twice and found the advice given of a better standard than that received from a national garage scheme.

The lobbying of Parliament and Europe etc is very important and from speaking with colleagues and my local MP, the view is that the RMI get our views across very effectively.

My advice is do it, they have changed and are doing a good job.
