Top Technician Project Manager Nicola St. Clair and Chief Judge Ian Gillgrass from the IMI spent a day whittling the 23 highest scoring candidates from the first round down, naming the ten who will take part in the practical semi-finals at GTG Wolverhampton on March 27th.
In alphabetical order of surname, the semi-finalists are:
Mark Adams of WJ King Sidcup, Kent
Rob Dawson of Lookers Land Rover, Essex
James Etherington of VDS Performance, Surrey
Tommy Forrest of TF Automotive, Lanarkshire
Andrew Gravel of ADG Autotech, Lincolnshire
Ainsley McEwan of McEwan’s Garage, Derbyshire
Peter Melville of Oscillotech Vehicle Services, Kent
Anthony Pickering of CBF Service Centre, Suffolk
Lee Pritchard of Garej Bowydd Garage, Gwynedd
Nigel Yardley of Yardley’s Vehicle Repair & Test Centre, Nottinghamshire
Nicola comments: “It is great to see a mix of old and new names making it through to this stage. The second online test was difficult so well done to those who have got here and we look forward to seeing them at GTG for the first practical tests.”
The best five from the semi-final will move onto the final at Fiat Unetversity on April 24th, with the winner being announced at Top Technician Live at Fiat on May 22nd. Tickets are available for the full day training event, email Nicola@aftermarket.co.uk for more information.
