However a large portion of the security & software related trade operate in the grey area of AVDI & Zed Bull capability related security adaptions, which can modify eeprom to overcome manufacturer written security protocols.

Is this common practice aftermarket kit workaround to be outlawed?
Or will it be allowed to continue circumventing manufacturer security related processes?
If left to continue does it once again make a mockery of EU legislation in the motor trade?
