Hi James If you can put up with working in the Cold & Wet if you can work in the dark If you don't mind kneeling on gravel etc Jacking on uneven or soft ground If you like working with the customer watching the older you get the harder it gets etc etc its a wonderful life in the fresh air and there are always customers who want a cheap job cos you don't have any overheads etc On the other hand I love working outside in the sun, fresh air, cool breeze (for one day a year anyway, our summer!!) If that's what you want to do try and build a customer base before you pack your job in. and go for it you can always find another job if it doesn't work out if your'e any good of course.
