I had an arguement several years ago with my brother inlaw about a service book, he said his new mondeo had to go to main dealers for servicing as after 3 years when it was paid for and time to replace, it would not be worth anything (this is what sales man told him)3 years came part exchanged it against a new laguna and yes you were right it wasnt worth anything with or without a service book what a waste of 3 years main dealer servicing and £600
