Being a Yorkshireman I have the free version of Mailwasher. It works on Win 95 upwards. It does what it says on the tin...however it is not fully automated so you can see the headers of all the mail. You can then choose to blacklist/friend or bounce manually before downloading. Anything blacklisted is automatically marked for deletion, but it is configurable.

Spam Pal is another one (also free), all suspect mail is dropped into a spam folder automatically where it can be checked or auto deleted.

I removed my e-mail from my web site a month ago as Peter has suggested. It's a shame we have to go to these lengths to stop spamming, it is about time it was made illegal or ISP's made to add spam filters as standard.
