had a customer of ours put petrol in his BMW 330 TD it has common rail injection he realised his error about 300yds down the road when the car started to misfire so pulled over, car ws recoverd to local BMW dealer who informed him they would have to replace every thing associated with the injection system tank, fuel lines, injectors, pump etc at a cost of 5k approx, he asked them if they could drain it & try some diesel & see how it goes they were very reluctant to do this but agreed to if he signed a waiver to the effect that any warranty would be canceled & it would cost min £500 + vat the car was taken away from the dealer fuel was drained new diesel in tank with some common rail cleaner & has run purfect for over a week now my question is does anyone now if this will shorten the life of any of the injection components
    sorry about the long post
