Broadband?

Hi.. Can anyone suggest / recommend a decent broadband supplier ..cost effective.. no hassle..
that sort of thing

try http://www.metronet.co.uk/.I have had an occasional loss of email in the past,seems reliable recently but ok for the money.

Hi Mike,

I use to use Pipex and thought they were really good, good speed, excellent reliability, etc. However, as soon as I wanted to move house they weren't interested. It took them several weeks and several emails before they responded by saying I would have to cancel and start up as a new user...so much for customer loyalty!

Decided to then use Eclipse who we currently use at the garage. Same sort of the price (not the cheapest, but no download limits) plus they'll do free fixed IP addresses if you want them. They usually respond to support emails within 1-2 hours. You can manage all aspects of your account online, including an excellent web front end to your email. We now have 3 connections with them (garage and two home accounts). All get billed on the one account. Usually appear in the top ten of broadband suppliers.

Have a look at http://www.eclipse.net.uk/ but also check out http://www.adslguide.org.uk for details on all ISPs.

i use bt business broadband they do a deal and put your phone line through the broadband which saves you loads on call charges you just have to dial 9 first its quit a good package they reckon they can halve my phone bill for the coming year if you need any more info i will sort some bits out

Hello Mike & others,
I use Eclipse also & have had no problems over the last few years & would recommend them.As Sean said there are no download limits, but if you download a lot of data ,i.e films etc ,you may need to change your port settings to get maximum speed.I recommend them although I haven't ever tried anybody else.

we also use BT Business broadband. Fast, no down time/reliable. Would recommend for business use.

I have just signed up with BT business broadband costs 24.99 per month and our telephone line gets us 8 meg. which seems fast to me.

Thanks for all your comments guys, I did check them all through...I have now signed a deal... with madasafish . £11.99 a month for up to 3.5meg. I think/hope its a good deal !!!

If anyone wants to go for it - give me a shout for a recco. It earns us both/all money
