Has anyone heard of or had dealings with this company, seems to be a third paty company who puts customers your way for a small fee.
You then deal direct with the customer. ETC

We keep getting e-mails from this company, and others like it, asking us to subscribe. Part of me thinks it's a good idea and could generate some extra business but I'm concerned that if all of us independant garages start signing up to schemes like this and become fitting centres for on-line tyre retailers we're going to shoot ourselves in the foot. For a reasonable amount of money, it's possible to design (or have someone do it for you) a website which can attract people doing on-line searches. Also, if we all stopped providing the donkey work for these internet retailers & other schemes they would have no business & the work would come to us as it always has done. ie. do a good job for a fair price & word soon goes out.

We also keep getting these emails & phone calls offering us the only slot in our postcode etc etc.
I agree with you Ian possibly a good idea but a simple website with the right search links will probably do as well.

Yes we are getting emails form internet based companies offering us to join their 'network'.
Prestigecarservice recently of which when you look at their site we do all the work

whilst they profit from being the go between....

Will carry on with our own website and marketing me thinks!

I am also getting emails from this organisation, and i have looked at it and have also thought it could be a good idea, but i am very cautious about companies contacting me, with out me making contact first, and i think if it was that good i would have come across it in another way. I could be wrong but my gut feeling says leave alone.

Just a quick update. I've emailed this company to ask how many other garages in my area will be part of their scheme and surprise, surprise "currently, for the first year we would be the only garage listed within a 5 mile area" Doesn't really have a long term benefit as second year price goes up to over £400 and there's no guarantee there won't be 5 or 6 of us all competing with each other. (as we do now but without the supposed benefit or costs of joining the scheme) A big no no I think. Cheers, Ian.
