I have an Astra envoy van owned by me for two years and entered by me on the MID, been stopped twice by Hertfordshire constabulary for no insurance (on board camera flagged it up)

I have spoken to my insurers NIG and they say its nothing to do with them and the MID say its nothing to do with them, It is definitely on the database but appears to be invisible, just tried to do road tax on line and its chucked it out!

Has anyone else had this sort of problem ? it's beginning to p*** me off.

I was pulled over a few months ago, with them informing me I had no insurance, until I showed them my certificate. They said this happens all the time with traders policies. All sorted now after making contact with MID.

You could try deleting the vehicle from the MID and then re-entering, just use same "off cover date" as the new "On cover date" for continuous cover.

I had various results on ask mid some days it was on and some days it was not there.

Have now removed vehicle from mid and re submitted we shall see !!!!

ps: tried to redo the tax tonight (Sunday) and it went straight in so I am keeping fingers crossed !

We've found that the insurers re-submit the details whenever you renew the policy. Trouble is, they normally make a few typo's

I guess they call it progress.
