This isn't the stretched cam chain syndrum is it? Sparks once, realises crank and cam are not in time and then goes to sleep, like I should be doing. Worth a look, scope them together, then look in archives. Lots of mention of tensioners sticking out too far and good references with colour photos. Think its time for cocoa and bed, but something for you to think on,
