Just did ours last week - 'Y' 50k. Stalled, no start, no spark, no fuel pump. No initial cough like yours. No previous symptoms. Pump ran after battery charge. Code said 'cam sensor'. Cam cover off, chain looked ok - approx 12mm extended (see archives). Replaced cam sensor, started & drove ok. Replaced crank sensor as well (they are identical) around £50 pair from Nissan. Looks like I was lucky this time.
Paranoia setting in slowly - I thought chains were trouble free after belts.......
