I have had this car come to us from another garage. They read fault memory and diagnosed cam sensor, fitted one and still cuts out and reads this fault.
Tested with our equipment and came to the same conclusion. replaced genuine cam and crank sensors, erased memory and test drove. All fine until this morning when it started from cold, stalled and then started eventually bringing on the MIL.
Faultcode back again - cam sensor. Have visually checked the stator ring on the end of the cam and seems ok.
Have read various archives on these and need to know if there is a way of proving it is the timing chain as its not noisy and only done 27,000 miles from new.
Any advice greatfully received.
