You need to confirm your data because it does not stack up.
If the car was 2001 M/Y then the engine code would start with "Z".
the X16SZR (8 valve) was finished in 2000. TBI(throttle body injection) or CPI central point injection. This ECU was mounted by the side of the battery.
The later Z16SE (multi-point injection) the ECU is mounted on the end of the inlet manifold.
The early type had a faulty batch of ECU's that can be identified from the production bar code.
The later Type is the New Hybrid type quite small and thin , these also suffer from high failure rate with all sorts of problems.
so which one is it????
