We had one like this a while back - not sure if it is still the same set up. The crankshaft had too much endfloat (around 3mm) and the crank sensor was damaged by the flywheel. We spaced the new sensor slightly so it didn't touch. On start sometimes the signal is too weak but press the clutch pedal and it moves the flywheel nearer the sensor! Still running fine 4 years later. The local Ford dealer said the endfloat was 'normal'.
