Thanks for the info.
Didn't feel injector related as other than the described problem runs and drives OK.
We have tried bypassing the ignition feed by putting a flick switch in so when problem occured put switch on does problem go away - NO so ruled out ignition side.
A seperate supply and earth was put to ECU again negative results.
Conclusion reached was supply from pin 12 from ECU being lost to engine bay fuse box relay assembly but could not go any further as customer solved problem by part exchanging car as he felt this problem and the gearbox problem was enough and bought another Peugeot.
P.S we had had engine loom right off, inspected, no problems found.
Conclusion ECU fault.
