ECU now removed and off to the post office.....
I've recommended to the customer that coil, plugs and leads are changed as a matter of course with this just to reduce the chance of it happening again but the customer is complaining of lack of money at the moment. The genuine coil, leads and plugs is nearly £200+VAT which seems pretty steep compared to when we used to do Mondeo's etc.
What are the chances of the ECU failing again if he decides not to have the new parts fitted? Anyone hazzard a guess?
