Its not like "Junkyard Wars!" anymore unfortunatly!
In the good old days you could more or less stick anything into anything else as long as it would physically fit. Getting it to work after that was easy-peasy
I have always said that I will not consider modern vehicle systems a "Mature technology" until I see a "Junkyard wars" challange being met by a team using a ford engine with a BMW ecu driving a Vauxhall electronically controlled gearbox with a toyota autoECU.
Until that day I am going to stick with my techycrap-free 1980's vehicles! (The only electronics in my Van is in the radio (#) and The MIG welder is my Friend! )
AAnyway, back to the original question. I gues thats a NO then!
(# Yes, I know there is some electronics in the alternator and some of the relays, but you get my point!)
