Mark has said that this should have a floating earth which if I understand it correctly would not work if you have connected to an engine earth. Perhaps someone can tell me if I am correct or not but I believe the ecu holds it slightly above earth so as to be able to detect any short in the circuit???? If that is correct then I would assume that a lack of earth would point to an ecu problem?
