Looks like you were right on the money with the EWS Unit , Just had a phone call saying it looks like it has totally failed Total cost for diagnostic and renewal is a few quid under £500 !!
Feel like i have just had my pants pulled down 
!
Did you have any test method for your diagnosis ?
