How did you arrive at a crankshaft position sensor, from a P0500 Vehicle Speed Sensor fault code? Autodata lists a transmission vehicle speed sensor in the wiring diagram.
What was wrong with the oxygen sensor & how did you condemn it? Are you sure that the O2 sensor was not reporting correctly & it was a lean or rich state that was driving the signal to stay high or low?
Has this got the correct oil in it? Could the hydraulic lifters be jacking? What MAP value are you seeing in live data?
