Well we finally got there on this one.
I replaced the AMM with one from another car and it ran much better, scoped it up and the only difference I could see was at idle the base voltage is 1.50v on faulty AMM and 1.25v on trial unit, 500 miles over Easter later and no MIL on, fuel trims checked s/t 100% l/t 105% looked pretty good to me and we managed to source just the AMM and not the whole throttle body at over £500.
