owner drove to campsite 100 miles after parking up and unloading gear left ign on.when came to restart battery fully discharged,started with jump leads and went for trip to recharge battery during trip eng cut out and battery too low for cranking. called a local garage who restarted and took for road test when it cut again. decided to recover to our workshop.
after battery fully recharged eng started but previous pattern of intermittent cutting out same.

no fault codes logged when engine refuses to start connected gas analyzer and noted HCs this is off the scale so fuelling ok then connected inline spark adaptor to number 3 coil and noted after cut out and when try to restart no spark, then teed in using bob wires to check coil battery volts this ok when running and during non start.

one thing have observed when eng does eventually fire and run no throttle response for about 15 secs and idles at approx 400rpm then throttle butterfly kicks in and engine revs up perfectly and idle speed normal until cuts out again this cycle repeats itself and usually have to allow a rest period before restart.
