Thanks , I did look at that thread already but the fact it is giving a specific cyl 3 code led my thoughts away from the throttle body.
I must confess I have not scoped the injectors, but have swapped them to different positions and the code has not changed.

I will get the pico out today, but not expecting to see much - surely a wiring fault to that injector would give up an injector cyl 3 code ?
The strange thing is if I lift up the coil packs , cyl 1 ( with the low compression ) is the one that is having least effect.
There must be a reason the code is flagging cyl 3 instead of cyl 1 - I have the firing order as 1-2-4-5-3 so it cant even be the 3rd cyl in the firing order ( like diesel injector coding thread )
