Good thing about Vauxhall's (not sure about the newer models though) is you can reset most modules and reuse them but difficult without the security codes.

Did you already have the correct code for the s/h immobiliser ecu then becasue i'm fairly sure it wont work if its not rest/reprogramed to pari up with the rest of the system.

I'm sure snap-on can't do this
