Had a Zafira GSI in for some power testing yesturday and noticed that under part throttle, between 2-3krpm steady state, the ignition timing request from ECU was dropping out and causing hesitation and engine note change.
No fault codes present
Cam sensor changed, individually scoped at sensor and signal was correct and repeatable
Crank sensor scoped at sensor and waveform appeared correct
Knock sensor showing no activity on logger
MAF sensor unplugged - fault still present.
I still suspect a cam sensor/crank sensor or a sync issue, the car is due back in Wednesday and i will scope and overlay cam signal against crank signal at ECU, but im also looking for other suggestions?
