I have fitted a remanufactured/upgraded ETM from Actronics.
The vehicle mostly drives ok but occasionally brings the ETM warning light on. So it seems that an ETM reload will need to be performed, apparently according to Actronics it is not always necessary. I was hoping that it's self-adaption abilities would deal with it over time but obviously this is not the case.
Is it necessary to go to a dealer for this or can it be performed by either an aftermarket machine (some suggest Autologic can do it) or is there someone in the Kent/Surrey border can do it for for me if I bring it over? I would prefer to keep out of the dealer loop if possible. The local Volvo parts department are great, but talk to service and you can practically hear them wiping their hands as they put the phone down after talking to you (just my opinion).
With so many other brands it's just a simple relearn procedure but it seems Volvo have gone out of their way to make it difficult on these.
Codes returning at the moment are:-
P0221 TPS B out of range.
P1670
P1620
P1108
Neither of my machines are much good on Volvos, only took it on because it's a neighbour in the next unit.
