I haven't seen the AUA throw this fault before, but I have seen it on a few occasions on the BCB engine.

There is a software update for the BCB that cures this.

I suspect that on this model year the ECU for this engine will not be flashable, unless it managed to have the ECU replaced by Audi due to a O2 S1 issue that the AUA suffered with?
Later AUA ECU's can be reflashed & there are software updates for corrupt software, tight parameters that require relaxing etc..

I'd suggest letting a garage with reflashing capability do a software version check on it & go from there - Autologic & VAS users can do this if it is capable of a reflash.
