Hi guys would appreciate some help with this, the car will go into limp mode, sometimes within 5 seconds of starting, normally within a few minutes but over the weekend it drove 20 miles without a problem. P1160 inlet manifold flow and P1161 throttle position captor are set and throttle response is lost, the engine hunts at about 1200rpm, I think the throttle valve is spring loaded at this position. Turning off and restarting cures the fault.
The customer (a garage) have already fitted a new genuine throttle body and I have adapted it. I have had the wiring loom apart and can see no damage, and am aware of the problem with leaking coolant temp sensors, the ecu plugs are spotless.
Peugeot tech info provides very little info on these faults although I found that a cam timing error can cause this fault so I assume these codes relate to not just throttle position but its relation to manifold vacuum? The vehicle had the cyl head off and a new belt fitted 6 months ago so have asked the garage to double check the timing, but it has run perfectly until a week ago.
I plan on checking vac today but wondered if anyone had the conditions that set these codes instead of just a description?
