Thank you both. Alan: I wonder if this vehicle requires a drive to relearn its values? Nonetheless, I will get them to drive it tomorrow as well as the other tasks I have suggested and let you know how it hangs. Mark: They played darts. I guess they thought £15 for a second-hand unit was worth the punt. I have not carried out any detailed tests other than the basics that I have already described until I obtain the values I have requested in my post.
