Good morning

I have a Golf (1.6 FSI, BLF engine code, 59000 mile)in at present with oil warning light coming on.

Once its warmed up - after 5 or 6 mile drive - this will start flashing. I have removed the sensor and measured the oil pressure = about 5 psi at idle!

Can anyone tell me do these engines suffer with oil pump failure, pick up clogging etc.

Oh yes its a car from a used car pitch, they have already done an oil and filter change to try and sort this but it is no better.
