Michael you were bang on the money,the oil filler cap.And it made perfect sense,the car ran fine until I changed the oil and filter.The cap is the only component I disturbed.I vacuum tested with the old cap and then put a new one on and the difference was evident straight away.Many thanks for all your help guys.Until time regards Dominic.
