Customer swapped engine and fitted an second hand engine from a 2015 car with same engine code - Is this even the same engine ???

The car starts and stops within a few seconds, if you disconnect crank sensor it will continue to run, re-connect and it keeps running and revving ok. No fault codes unless run for a while when Fuel trim lean is logged as fuel trims are 20% STFT and 30% LTFT when running. Not sure about condition of oxygen sensor as old engine may have contaminated it.

Inlet vacuum good at 20"HG idle.

Crank and both cam signals look ok (attached) but not sure if timed correctly although base engine timing has been checked and is spot on with locking tools.

Rev counter does not work - maybe something to do with engine speed signals incorrect ??

Engine will continue to run without crank sensor but not with either cam sensor unplugged.

Anyone any good scope readings for this engine please ?
