So I scope tested both cam sensors the crank sensor and had the wps pressure transducer on the forth channel. Cranking both when there is correct compression and when there is none. There is no difference in the timing.
So ill have a look now at the concentric position sensor which is a high frequency digital device
with multiple outputs.
The normal max lift is 9mm if the sensor is out of range could it could it command a much larger valve lift or could the shaft jam at full lift.
However the default position if there is a vvt system malfunction is 9mm and it starts and runs fine like that.
