sorry for late reply,thanks for the help.i contacted a guy i know in a peugeot dealer here and he said they are aware of this issue and to send it over.there was a hint of some sort of dealer service fix.
so it was driven to dealer by the owner,i am yet to hear back on any repairs,but will follw up and post any results here.
my google checks saw lots of very bad looking cam belts with cracks in them.when these first came out and i saw they were in oil i did groan.
