Hi Russell resting the addaptions is basically just resetting all the parameters in the ECU so on some systems it can relearn and on others it learns the position of things like the idle valve EGR valve and throttle position, some systems it is just a case of disconnecting the battery for 30 sec's or so, not sure which is the best equipment for this car but autologic, autodiagnos, Bosch KTS 520, and some others will do the job, HTH
