Daewoo Matiz 800cc? 2000 - Misfire and overfuelling? Archived Message

Posted by DAVE MITTELL on June 11, 2006, 10:18 pm

Right had this car sitting around for a while now. Came in for a service and it was noticed mil light on all the time and misfires when starting and idling. When revved up it doesnt miss as badly but does occasionally. Emissions are virtually zero although when sat and revved the exhaust starts to glow red indicating possible overfuel or ignition fault? I have changed the coil pack as resistance was down on number 3. This hasnt made a lot of difference. Does anyone know of anyone in the north wales/chester area that can do a code read its the sirius type with 16 pin connector but my kts wont go near it. Customer starting to whinge a bit now so help appreciated any common known faults?
