MGF 1.8 VVC 1997 MEMS 2J: Running rich (strange DTC) Archived Message

    Hi

Got this MGF that has failed its CAT test (CAT rattling) but before we replace it need to ensure that it runs properly. It goes rich above fast (1 - 2% CO) idle and sensor pegs rich.

Cleared fault codes and only one returns. Would like to rule it out of the diagnosis but we have no idea what it means:

    21FE Feedback disabled on clamp.
    Status: Active / Fault logged.

    Not listed in Autodata.

This was detected using an MTPro. Tried to verify with SP ACR but it won't connect!

Anyone any idea what this means? Is it to do with the VVC? Car seems to run ok. Will be replacing leads and plugs as a matter of course, but these are a pain to work on! Quick checks show ECT ok, manifold pressure steady at about 20.5"Mg

    Cheers

    Sean
