Hi Rob, I would agree with both replys. As for what breaks? It will be one of the strands on the winding that breaks and probably shorts to another one affecting its ability to induce but still able to give a similar resistance to spec. this is why resistance testing alone is not enough. The gap in the break expands with heat and retouches when cooled. Mike
